With foreclosures at record levesl, gas prices rising daily, and cost of every day needs going through the roof. You might think everyone is on a budget. That is unless you want to own the new Lexus LF-A. Lexus seems to think that the target audience for this top line sports car won’t be daunted with the burden of affordability, so they felt free to release the estimated price of this new halo car at around $225,000! Now this is playing in the big leagues, an area where no Japanese marque has ever dared to tread before. Will they sell out, or will it sit on the showroom floor? We will soon find out when this car debuts sometime next year.

High prices may be something we all have to live with. But certain things don’t seem to ring true in value. Remember the $80,000 Volkswagen Phaeton? VW couldn’t shove those cars out of the dealership regardless of how well they were made. So will the general public find a $50,000 Audi A5 palatable? Sales seem to support they just might, with A5’s flying off the lots Audi may have succeeded in carving another notch in the belt for them in the U.S. marketplace. But is this only the beginning for more expensive Audis?

Glitz, glamour and sexy showgirls. Yeah we have seen them all of the time. But what is going to happen when you bring one home with you? 001 did just that, after meeting and extraordinary young lady at Bimmerfest a few weeks back. 001 just couldn’t resist bringing her on board to keep us up to date with the latest on the social scene in automotive world. We wish Agent00K onboard, and we all look forward to her efforts to put a feminine flair on an admittedly masculine scene. I have to say after a few of you questioned her ability, her responses seemed to place you all on notice, that she is a force to be reckoned with.

What is a badge to you, does it signify class and stature? Or is simply keeping up with the social scene? Yes it can be a bit of both of those values, and perhaps even signify the certain knowledge that you appreciate craftsmanship and don’t mind flaunting it. 009 ticked a few of you off by suggest the badge may be more important to some than what you actually get. While others came down on his side explicitly.

No doubt we have a lot of German car fans on this site. But what would happen German cars didn’t exist? What if you HAD to actually pick a brand that wasn’t German? Agent00J got more than he expected when he sounded off demanding that the German fans shed their heritage and pick a car with different roots. I have to say the tune of many of you changed when their whole philosophy on car design was ripped out from underneath you.
