If you haven’t hear by now “Green” is in, and the LA Auto Show is the best place to be seen if you are green. If you wanted to be the first on your block to see the latest on display at the show, then you would have been best served by tagging along with our Agent001. He scooped the rest, by giving you access to the floor a full 24 hours ahead of the rest. While there were quite a few refreshes this year, the biggest announcements so far had to be the all new Infiniti G37 Convertible, or possibly the ultra sharp and extra edgy Mazda3. But don’t forget the all new Lexus RX also made it’s official debut as well. With all of these choices be sure to check out LA Auto Show Gallery for the latest updates.

Now I grew up learning if you asked for something from someone; there might be a certain amount of humility and a bit of introspective review associated with my meager requests. Well no one told that to the Detroit 3 CEOs when they knocked on Washington’s door begging for funds. The UAW may have started the whole ordeal on the wrong note when they blatantly proclaimed they were not going to compromise anymore, and the taxpayers should just foot their bills if the Detroit 3 went under. Congress followed up by answering the Detroit CEOs request for funds with a tongue lashing that reminds me of a grade school teacher scolding a child. To say the love was lost with the Big 3 is an understatement, because this time Washington demanded accountability. GM may still be a defiant child though. As soon as Congress denied them access to the $700 billion bailout package as an automaker, they instructed their financial arm GMAC to apply for Bank status entitling them to access to the $700 billion anyway. I guess my biggest concern after listening to testimony is that it is painfully obvious that these 3 leaders have been drinking from the same barrel of tainted water. They really have no clue how out of touch they really are. However at press time for this newsletter, there is a glimmer on the horizon, as an emergency package is under review utilizing previously approved funding. This may make the Detroit 3 slovent until after Christmas.

With all of the bad news and frustration out there, wouldn’t it be nice to just have a place to vent? Well, some of you do it here all of the time. But Agent001 dreamed up a novel approach this week by giving you a WEB RAGE FRIDAY to let you vent about whatever is on your mind. To say this was popular may have been the understatement of the week. Even adversaries on the site came together on common ground to share common gripes. Expect to see WEB RAGE to returning the not so distant future.
