The Geneva Motor Show was hands down the best auto show yet for 2009. And with the main reason being that there was real news, and real excitement for the industry. Mercedes chose this show to debut the new E-class, and Agent001 gave it the one over. After reporting his findings he felt that not only was this car not only the one to beat, but it may represent an evolutionary step for the luxury car market. But did it represent a triumph over the competition? BMW and Audi fans went on the defensive about that.

Infiniti definitely stirred our collective imaginations with the Essence concept. This sleek and revolutionary design proved that Infiniti can be a powerhouse when it comes to high impact styling. Many can say the same can be said about the newest generation G37, stunning looks and exceptional performance make this car a great value. So much so, that G37 sales are floating the entire Infiniti lineup. Agent001 took note and questioned just how long this can last, and how would Infiniti survive if G37 sales tumbled. Depth in your lineup a big deal, and Infiniti may have to hurry quickly because last month G37 sales dropped a staggering 47%. Is the end nearer than we thought?

We all rally around a certain brand. But are we actually bias? I guess it depends on which side of the coin you favor. A case in point may be BMW vs. Lexus. Article after article we tout the merits of these two brands, but it can be argued they both cater to different customers. So why do we continually place two diametrically opposed philosophies in side by side comparisons? Why do we complain when the result don’t suit our fancy. Agent00J had to dare to compare and make his case on why we do what we do. But do you agree that some cars are for those who like riding, and some car are for people who like driving?

We all know that Nissan ruffled Porsche’s feather in a big way, when it publicly touted the GT-R was faster than the iconic Porsche turbo. The battle became so heated that Porsche went out and bought a GT-R and tested it just to prove their point. So does it come as any surprise that Nissan would up the ante with a Series II GT-R that will beat the even faster Enzo Ferrari? While this car is still in the final stages of development Nissan may not have much to lose by bragging a bit early they can top the ultrafast Enzo. After all the jury is still out on beating Porsche.
