As most of you are aware BMW took the covers off of their new 7-Series last week. Now that we have had some time to digest the design, I have to say many of you think BMW didn’t push the design far enough. As a matter of fact quite a number of you are accusing BMW of simply grafting on other makers designs and calling it their own. However a few level heads may have prevailed by attempting to explain the design philosophy and the intent. Whatever side of the fence you ended up on eventually, 001 took you to center stage with an exclusive look at the European unveil of the new flagship straight from Moscow’s Red Square. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

001 wasn’t just stumbling around Moscow’s Red Square visiting with the locals and peeking over their shoulders. After sleuthing his way in to the 7-series unveil, he decided to get down to the task at hand. Joining in on the epic TranSyberian Rally! This scenic jaunt starts in Moscow and travels across Russia enroute to Japan. What will it hold for our famed super sleuth? We don’t know just yet, but when he gets back next week I bet we will hear all about it.

Most every manufacturer has a V8, and some even have a V12. But for some reason the hypnotic sound of a V10 simply can’t be matched. With a trio of cars debuting in the near future sporting V10s, we decided to give all of you a sound test. You were given the challenge to tell us which of the upcoming V10’s sounded the sexiest. Was is the Lexus, Acura’s new entry or perhaps the twin turbo Audi power plant that stole your heart? If you haven’t taken a listen yet you might want to crank up the speakers and close the office door and give it a whirl.

With BMW releasing the all new CS in the near term, I keep hearing from our fans a puzzling question, “where is the Lexus entry into the foray?”. As strange as it seems though Lexus may not have an entry in this all important segment. Agent00J tested the waters to see is Lexus really missing the boat and while the hard core fan says no the skeptics aren’t convince. If you aren’t thinking Lexus is missing the boat you might want to compare their performance to BMW’s over the last 12 months and then reconsider who should be following who. There is a new leader in town folks, but can he maintain the momentum?
