After all of the bad news in the last few weeks, it sure is nice to see some of the better discussions are stemming from the few new models that are coming out. Mercedes Benz sprung a leak early in the week, and out came some pretty official looking shots of the 2010 E-Class. These shots finally gave us the first look at an absolutely beautiful foundation for Mercedes to build on. This is a pretty rare occurrence these days. Agent001 even dared to compare the New E-Class to the competition based on looks alone, and I have to say it stacked up pretty well considering we know little else other than the basic style.

Now to say rumors are flying in the middle of this meltdown is an understatement. But one thing Lexus fans can count on, is that the IS-F seems to be standing well in spite of it all. So well in fact, that the spies were tipped off for the month of November that the IS-F out sold both BMW’s M3 sedan and the Mercedes C63 AMG! Now with figures like that, Lexus might have made up a whole lot of ground with the enthusiast. So much so, that a few days later came news that GS-F and LS-F models are destined for the near future. Now while the thought of Lexus as a performance machine might be foreign to some right now, it might become quite a contender to our next generation. Stay tuned for more details.

When some one loses your trust, just how forgiving are you? Will you ever trust them again, especially when they fall on hard times? GM did the unthinkable this week, they actually appealed to the U.S. taxpayer for our forgiveness. Admitting to poor planning and focusing on only the short term, they hit the nail on the head when it came to most of their shortcomings. But the real question was if you would ever trust them again? Agent001 challenged you to see if they simply overstretched their welcome, or were you willing to help rehabilitate them yet again. Sounds like that cousin you bailed out last year hitting you up for a quick C-note at the horse race track. It really makes you wonder if he learned his lesson at all.

With the world crashing down around us all, there are several hard choices for many of us to make. For instance when that old car of yours is finally paid off, SHOULD you even consider buying another one right now? Affording it right now may be one thing but, who can look even 6 months into the future and determined if it was the best decision? That choice might be a little easier though if you were on the inside of an organization and Agent001 placed you in the driver’s seat. He started a new challenge to place you in charge of a major manufacturer and call the shots. Audi was first up this week but more will soon follow and hopefully the brass at these companies will be listening to your suggestions, most of them need all of the help they can get.
