You have to admire our beloved Agent001. Not only does he live the glamorous life of a spy, he regularly seems to find the scoop well ahead of the game. This time he scooped all of the free press by giving you access to the 2010 Lexus RX350 and 450h Japanese sales brochure. It really doesn’t matter if you can read the Japanese captions or not, because the simple fact is that these photos speak for themselves. For the first time in a while now, Lexus fans can rally behind a new and appealing design from the luxury car leader.

It is an election year to go down in the history books. Both sides are lined up for what may be a record breaking turnout. But do what do you think about the candidates? Better yet, if you could classify them as cars, what would they be like? That might not be as silly as you think, when a quick survey revealed America liken Obama to a BMW and McCain to a Ford. Depending on your viewpoint those could be fighting words, and some of you took that literally. But Agent001 took it a bit further over the weekend by wondering if Obama was elected, would he bring back the luxury tax? Now that hit a chord with almost everybody as they jumped into the free for all.

Now if you buy an exotic brand like a Lamborghini or Ferrari you tend to expect high repair bills. Sort of goes with the turf I guess. But if you buy a Nissan, people tend to think they should be reliable across the brand. Our good buddies over at Inside Line found out that that a quality name plate doesn’t always mean reliability. It seems their brand spanking new GT-R has more than it’s fair share of issues and actually is spent almost as much time in the shop being repaired, as being driven. Seems like to me that Nissan still has to learn some lessons in making a performance car drive like a real performance car should be driven, reliably.

It is no secret the majority of our readers are quire successful, and part of that success is driving a nice imported car. But with all of the economic hiccups in the nation today, some of us might find the need to scale back until the storm clears. Part of that cut back might actually mean moving to a less expensive domestic brand. Cutting back is always a hard thing to do, but in this case what choices do you have? Agent009 decided to give you a theoretical scenario where you were forced to but an American car on a budget. What did you choose?
